WATERLOO - Wanda L. Iverson, 83, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Jan. 26, at Windhaven Assisted Living of the Western Home Communities.

She was born July 22, 1928, in Plover, daughter of Ernest and Leila Gilliland Rittgers. She married Robert E. Iverson June 2, 1951, in Nashua. He died Jan. 13, 1991.

Mrs. Iverson taught school at Ackley-Genevia and Dunkerton School Districts, and at Adult Education at Hawkeye Community College. She also was a homemaker.

Survived by a son, Don J. (Gina) of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Debbie (Duane) Benedict and Becky (Jim) Curran, both of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roland (Mary) Rittgers of Pochahontas.

Preceded in death by a son, Tim; and twin grandsons.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Westminster Presbyterian Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
