WATERLOO - Theresa Marie O'Connell, 83, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, in Orlando, Fla.

She was born July 27, 1928, in Denver, Colo., daughter of Michael and Clara Reuter Frost. She married Richard G. "Dick" O'Connell Oct. 28, 1947, in Gilbertville. He died April 18, 2000.

She was manager at Frost Tavern and American Legion in Gilbertville for many years. She also volunteered at Allen Hospital.

Survived by three sons, Rick (Emily), Dave and Russ (Kristi), all of Waterloo; six daughters, Pattie (Don) Fuss of Farnhamville, Pam (Randy) McKean of Scottsdale, Ariz., Suzanne (Jerry) Brown and Robin Slick, all of Evansdale, Terri Even-Miller of Waterloo and Carolyn (Darryl) Dixon of Ames; 37 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Eugene Frost of Waterloo, Gerald (Rosemary) Frost of Hiawatha and Jerome (Donna) Frost of Readlyn; and a sister, Lucille Mangrich of Gilbertville.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew Frost, Raphael Frost and Arnold Frost; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Rutledge.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, both in Gilbertville. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or the Bosco School System
