CEDAR FALLS - Oage Iversen, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, at NewAldaya Lifescapes of natural causes.

He was born April 1, 1921, in Fole, Denmark, son of Peter J. and Christine Moeller Iversen. He married Jean Parsons on April 2, 1943, at the Aviation Cadet Center, San Antonio.

Mr. Iversen graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1939 and then Gates Business College. He was employed at John Deere Component Works for 36 years, retiring in 1984 as a senior buyer. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge. He was a member of Trinity American Lutheran Church and was past president of the church and was a deacon.

Survived by his wife; a son, Gregory of Kalona; a nephew, Jeff (Sally) Young of Waterloo; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, James; a grandson, David Iversen; a sister, Marian Young; two brothers-in-law, Paul Young and Wilbert James Parsons; and a niece and a nephew.

Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Chapel at NewAldaya, Cedar Falls, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to Trinity American Lutheran Church.
