SERVICES HELD FOR
MARIE C. MICHAELS, 91,
TUESDAY MORNING

Funeral services for Marie C. Michaels, 91, 355 E. Eldora Road, were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Community Church of Hudson with Reverend Joseph Sellepack officiating.

Marie passed away Saturday at Covenant Medical Center of cancer.

She was born October 2, 1907 in Washington County, Iowa, the daughter of Issac and Jennie Vincent Pulver and was married to George Michaels on April 30, 1927 in Grundy Center. He died December 16, 1989.

Marie graduated from Keota High School and had worked at Hinson Manufacturing Company in Waterloo. She was a member of a Sewing Circle Group and Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include two sons: Ferdinand Michaels and George Michaels, Jr., both of Waterloo; a daughter, Lois Trainor of Hudson; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Gardner of Des Moines, and Louise Schwamb of Marysville, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson, Jeff Michaels, and a half-sister, Vaun Brown.

Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery. Locke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be sent to Community Church of Hudson or Cedar Valley Hospice.
