Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys May Heichel, 64, of 722 4th Ave., are pending at the Nelson Funeral Home. Mrs. Heichel died at her home at 8 a.m. Monday of a coronary attack.

She was born May 30, 1902, in Salem, Illinois, the daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Henry Crowell. She was married to Freace Heichel Nov. 19, 1947, in Nashua.

Mrs. Heichel is survived by her husband; two sons, Richard H. Nelson, 1560 Independence Ave., Waterloo; and Claude Nelson, 1111 W. 7th St., and a daughter, Mrs. Ethel E. Johnson, Sumner. Also, four stepsons: Herschel Heichel, Dalles, Oregon; Russell Heichel, 620 Wallgate Ave., Waterloo; Freace Heichel, Jr., 524 Miller St., Waterloo, and Glade Heichel, Greene; five stepdaughters: Mrs. Mary Brown, Hudson; Mrs. Gladys Morgan, 1920 Locke Ave., Waterloo; Mrs. Myrtle Clarke, Birchwood, Wisconsin; Mrs. Jane Rogers, 716 4th Ave., and Mrs. Norma Gutknecht, Sandstone, Minnesota; also, three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Barksdale, Salem, Illinois; Mrs. Mary Windolf, Madera, California, and Mrs. Delores Everman Hazelgreen, Wisconsin; 32 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, two sisters and a stepson.
