WATERLOO, IA.- LOLITA ELAINE ALLISS, 74, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, June 30, 2006, at Windsor Nursing and Rehap Center.

She was born July 5, 1931, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Russel R. and Edna L. (Booth) Hamm. She graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in 1949.

Lolita was united in marriage to Walter G. Alliss October 18, 1951, in Des Moines. While in Cedar Rapids she was joint owner of Larson-Alliss Secretarial and Ansewering Service.

Surviving are; her husband of Waterloo; four children, Melanie R. (Bart) Frisk of Swisher, Ia., Gregg R. (Susan Sundstrom-Alliss) Alliss and Lori R. Alliss all of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and Marcee L. Hanson of Mt. Vernon, Ia; six grandchildren, Jayme Bates, Derek Frisk, Ryan Alliss, Jessica Sundstrom-Alliss, Holly Alliss, and Michael Alliss all of Cedar Rapids; and two great grandchildren, Jakob and Jennie Bates.

Memorial services 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at First Christian Church in Cedar Falls, Ia. Inurnment will occur at a later date in White Oak Cemetery, Cambridge, Ia. Memorials to St. Judes Childrens Hospital. Arrangements by Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls.
