Paul V. Hill (1958-2007)

WATERLOO- Paul V. Hill, 49, of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 24, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born April 4, 1958, in New Hampton, son of Arnold Hill and Pauline Barber.

Mr. Hill was a 1976 graduate of Charles City High School, and attended one year of culinary school in Ankeny. He was employed as a cook in Texas before needing to retire due to disability.

Survivors include: his mother, Pauline Merrill of Cedar Falls; a brother, Lewis (Brenda) Hill of Waterloo; a sister, Tammy Merrill of Waterloo; and his foster father, A.J. Diesburg of Ionia.

Preceded in death by: his father; maternal grandparents, Donald and Thelma Barber; paternal grandfather, Vern Hill; and his foster mother, Gladys Diesburg.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel, with burial in Harlington Cemetery in Waverly. There will be no visitation.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.
