MRS. GEORGE MEYER

Mrs. George Meyer, 67, died at 3:35 p. m. Thursday at her home, 1215 Logan avenue, after a week's illness due to pneumonia.

Carolina Dettmer was born Sept. 14. 1864, at Hanover, Germany. She came to America with her parents at the age of 16, and lived in Chicago two years. The family then moved to Tripoli, la., where she was married to George Meyer Dec. 3, 1891. Since then she has made her home in Waterloo.

Surviving besides the husband are five children, Mrs. Carl Venter, 1327 Sycamore street: Mrs. Lillian Shaffer. 312 High street; Lydia Meyer, 328 Argyle street, Fred Meyer, 1215 Logan avenue, and Mrs. Theodore Saylor, Westminster; Md. A daughter. Amelia, died in infancy. There are six grandchildren.

The following brothers and sisters also survive: Henry Dettmer. Milwaukee, Wis.; Louie Dettmer, Seattle, Wash.; Charles Dettmer and Mrs. John Gilley, Seattle. Wash.; Mrs. Louisa Gibbons. Tacoma, Wash., and Ernest Dettmer, 92 Lane street, Waterloo.

Mrs. Meyer was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p. m. in Hileman & Gindt Chapel and at 2:30 p. m. in Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church with Rev. A. H. Semmann. pastor officiatig. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo.
