LA PORTE CITY --- Rose Ann Purdy, 96, died Saturday night at Scholtz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo; services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Wesleyan Church in La Porte City with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery east of La Porte City; survivors include a son, Merville Purdy of La Porte City; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Rice of 314 E. Tenth St., Waterloo, and Mrs. Velma West of La Porte City; a brother Ira Harmon of La Porte City; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Christian of Laporte City, Mrs. Lora Christian of Mason City, and Mrs. Eva Powers of La Porte City; 35 grandchildren; 122 great-grandchildren and 64 great-great-grandchildren; friends may call at the Johannsen-Rossow-Dykeman Funeral Home from 9 a.m. Tuesday until service time.
