WATERLOO - Barbara J. Milligan, 92, of Waterloo, died Friday, Jan. 13, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of natural causes.

She was born July 9, 1919, in Des Moines, daughter of Carl and Rose Duncan Allender. She married Richard "Dick" Milligan Nov. 16, 1942, in Des Moines. He died Oct. 13, 1991.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School in Des Moines. Mrs. Milligan was a receptionist in the lab at Schoitz Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Waterloo First Methodist Church.

Survived by two sons, J.C. (Helen) of Waterloo and Jeffrey (Caren) of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Robert Allender.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
