WATERLOO - Vincent Paul "Vinny" Bartruff, 3 1/2 months, died Sunday, Jan. 8, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

He was born Sept. 28, 2011, in Iowa City, son of Joseph Scott Bartruff and Samantha Alice Friesth.

Survived by his parents of Waterloo; two brothers, Daniel VanBrocklin and Aaron Bartruff, both at home; a sister, Caitlin Bartruff at home; paternal grandparents, David Bartruff of Kankakee, Ill., and Donna (Jon Thomas) Ryan of Tiffin, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Jay Johnson of Fort Dodge and Cherie (Doug Zilm) Friesth of Silver City, N.M.; paternal great-grandparents, Betty Creighton of Kankakee, Jerry Ryan of Tripoli and Carl (Loretta) Krieger of Cedar Falls; maternal great-grandparents, Vernon (Judy) Johnson of Emporia, Kan., and Keith (Doris) Friesth of Fort Dodge; and maternal great-great-grandmother, Helen Friesth of Missouri.

Preceded in death by maternal great-great-grandfather, Edward Friesth.

Memorial Services 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, preceded by an hour of visitation.
