CEDAR FALLS - Annabelle V. Kikendall, 86, formerly of 2222 E 15th St., died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

She was born Dec. 14, 1919, in Dike, daughter of Anno and Riena Neesen Peters. She married James C. Kikendall on Oct. 24, 1942, in Des Moines. He died May 26, 1997.

Ms. Kikendall had been supervisor in food service at the University of Northern Iowa for 28 years, retiring in 1984.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Judi) of Waterloo and Jim (Kathy) of Iowa City; two grandchildren, Kacy (Erin Tarr) Kikendall of Folsom, Calif., and Kari Kikendall of Waterloo; and two great-grandchildren, Savanna H. Kikendall and Kaden Kikendall, both of Folsom.

Preceded in death by four sisters, Grace, Edna, Tress and Irene; and two brothers, Raymond and Willard.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg. Public visitation 3 to 7 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, with family present 5 to 7 p.m. Visitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
