WATERLOO - Laurie Jean Geist, 57, of Sun Prairie, Wis., formerly of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011.

She was born March 28, 1954, in Waterloo, daughter of John "Jack" and Shirley Geist. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1972 and also attended the University of Iowa. She was employed as a banker for 27 years in Waterloo and Sun Prairie, the last as a CSR for McFarland State Bank, Sun Prairie.

Survived by two sons, Matthew (Jennifer) Ganahal and Ryan Ganahl; her parents of Waterloo; a brother, Greg (Lynn) Geist; a grandson, Jackson Ganahl; and a nephew, Jack G. Geist.

Memorial services and visitation: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Grace Reformed Church, 520 Maxwell St., Waterloo.
