RAYMOND - Donald "Lee" Dudley, 84, of Raymond, died Monday, Jan. 2, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

He was born June 24, 1927, in Center Point, son of John "Clifford" and Violet "Faye" Elliott Dudley. He married Dorothy Elizabeth Fischels on Feb. 7, 1953, in Waterloo.

Mr. Dudley graduated from high school in 1944, then served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Raymond, and worked as a carpenter before retirement.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Michael (Brenda) of Gilbertville and Anthony "Tony" (Nancy) of Elk Run Heights; a daughter, Lou Ann (Steve) Brown of La Porte City; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and two brothers, Robert Elliot of Aurora, Colo., and Jack (Jan) Dudley of Eldridge.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Virgil and Carlton; and a sister, Nancy Jacobs.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Raymond, with burial at a later date in the church cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a 4 p.m. parish rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
