Services for Roger John Ginther Sr., 74, of the Good Neighbor Nursing Home, Manchester, formerly of Waterloo, will be 1 p.m. Friday at O'Keefe & Towne-Carter & Waychoff Funeral Home.

Mr. Ginther died Tuesday morning at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

He was born September 3, 1910, at Waverly, the son of Millard and Laura Higgins Ginther. He married Julia Achilles August 18, 1937, and they were later divorced.

He was employed by Herrick's Refrigeration, and was later a dispatcher for Yellow Cab Co. He served in the Army during World War II.

Survivors include four sons, Kenneth of Cedar Rapids, Charles of New Hartford, Roger Jr., of Waterloo and Dale of Independence; five daughters, Mrs. Laura Conwell of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Julia E. Perry of Manchester, Mrs. Lola Schneiderman of Bancroft, Mrs. Vera Cornwell of Manchester and Mrs. Kathleen Bailey of Evansdale; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
