WATERLOO - Wilbert F. Boehmer, 90, of Murray, Ky., formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Spring Creek Health Care Center, Murray.

He was born Oct. 25, 1921, in Alta Vista, son of Alex J. and Hazel A. Ross Boehmer. He married Darline Tibbals on Nov. 27, 1944, in Alta Vista.

Mr. Boehmer was a machinist for Viking Pump Co., Cedar Falls, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Sons of AMVETS.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Victor (Mary) of Kensett and Rodney (Sondra) of Waterloo; a daughter, Ruth Ann (James) Westcott of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren, Zachary, Troy, Kathryn, Kristine, Brian, Kayla and Nick; 16 great-grandchildren, Shawn, Joshua, Justin, Kimber, Kaylee, Kyle, Benton, Brandon, Brianna, Corey, Brycee, Amber, Lane, Kayle, Kassondra and Ryan; three great-great-grandchildren, Trey, Carson and Karihanna; two sisters, MaDonna Baethke of Waterloo and Lois Miller of Denver; a brother, Linus (Camillia) of New Concord, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a son, Craig; a sister, Thelma Ptacek; a brother, Milton; and a great-grandchild, Justin Kinkade.

Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, where visitation begins at 11 a.m., with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
