CEDAR FALLS - Charles August Posekany, 54, of Woodburn, formerly of Cedar Falls, died at home Tuesday, Dec. 13.

He was born April 11, 1957, in Waterloo, son of Robert E. and Anna Belle Posekany. He married Susan Kay Meier on Nov. 8, 1975, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Posekany received an associate degree from Southwestern Community College, Creston, and was a project engineer at Merchandising Frontiers Inc., Winterset. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survived by his wife; two daughters, Anna Posekany of Reno, Nev., and Tesia Posekany of Storm Lake; his mother and stepfather, AnnaBelle and Roger Beck of Cedar Falls; a sister, Rhonda (Pat) Epley of Shell Rock; his stepmother, Darlene Posekany of Osceola; two stepbrothers, Tony (Marci) Beck of Evansdale and Jeff Beck of Hudson; and four stepsisters, Debra (David) Burbank of Goddard, Kan., Barbara Beck of Cedar Falls, Mary (Ed) Engler of West Des Moines and Susan (Ian) Lynch of New Orleans.

Preceded in death by his father.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Kale Funeral Home, Osceola. Visitation Friday at the funeral home, with family present 5 to 7 p.m. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday.
