TRAER — Cecil "Razzy" Rasmussen, 89, of Traer, died Tuesday, June 8, at Sunrise Hill Care Center.

He was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Dike, son of S. Everett and Edna Hiple Rasmussen. He married Ruth Redfearn on Dec. 1, 1945, in Hudson.

Mr. Rasmussen served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been employed at Rosemond in Hudson as a mechanic, worked for 28 years at AWE Gas Station, then retired from Lone Pine, Traer.

Survived by his wife; four grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Zonya Collum of Arkansas and Ruby Rhoades of Hudson.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy McNeill; a granddaughter; a brother, Gale; and two sisters, Wilma Wyatt and Willadean Schlicht.

Services were 11:30 a.m. today at Overton Funeral Home, Traer, with private family burial at a later date. Military rites were conducted by Traer American Legion.
