EVANSDALE - Shirley Ann Lee, 78, of Evansdale, died Friday, Dec. 9, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 24, 1933, in Waterloo, daughter of Walter James and Ursal Klebs Shaver. She married Jesse E. Lee on Sept. 25, 1950, in Waterloo. He died Sept. 13, 2011.

Mrs. Lee was a press operator at Waterloo Industries, retiring in 1992 after 27 years of service.

Survived by two sons, Tom of San Angelo, Texas, and Kenny of Evansdale; four daughters, Beverly LeVasseur of Springfield, Mo., Diane (Jon) Lee of Huachuca City, Ariz., Jody (Jim) Wilson of Dike and Barb (Dennis) Gutknecht of Cedar Falls; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth Shaver of Marion.

Preceded in death by a son, Jesse Duane; two brothers, James and Bob Shaver; two sisters, Janice O'Dell and Beverly Shaver; and a grandson.

Memorial services: 2 p.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, Waterloo, preceded by two hours of visitation.
