WATERLOO - David L. Warrens, 55, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Dec. 3, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home from complications of a stroke.

He was born May 11, 1956, in Waterloo, son of Walter L. and El Marie Kriener Warrens.

Mr. Warrens graduated from Central High School in 1975 and had worked at various restaurants in Waterloo.

Survived by two sisters, Deb (Chris Kuehl) Warrens of Waterloo and Kim Hurst of Cedar Falls; a niece, Victoria Hurst of Cedar Falls; and his girlfriend, Sue Kress.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Richard Anthony.

Memorial Services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with inurnment later in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is assisting with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospitality House or Cedar Valley Hospice.

David enjoyed reading and traveling.

A special thank you to the Cedar Valley Hospitality House and Cedar Valley Hospice Center, who helped our brother through his life's journey, during his end-of-life care, along with visiting him in the center.
