Ramudu Krishna ("Kris") Murthy, 75, died Saturday, Dec. 3, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

Born April 22, 1936, in Ilayangudi, India, Kris was a passionate structural engineer, licensed PE in multiple states with bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts. He was a keen follower of the political process, driven by his love for America.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 8., between 3 and 5 p.m. at Robinson Engineering Co., 5751 Westminster Drive, Cedar Falls.
