CEDAR FALLS - Donna Jean Gray, 70, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Dec. 2, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 18, 1941, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Claude and Leone Goebel McVey.

Ms. Gray graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1959 and worked at Holmes Junior High School as a secretary for 27 years, retiring in 2008.

Survived by a son, Mark (Sally) of Burlington; three daughters, Shelley (Deb Petsel) McVey of Iowa City and Melissa Gray and Marin (Chris) Pence, both of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Julie Gray, David Gray, Katrina Pence, Taylor Bowden and Leonie Pence; a brother, David (Judith) McVey of Waterloo; and a sister, Linda (Michael Allegretto) McVey of Denver, Colo.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Daniel Scott.

Memorial services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, preceded by an hour of visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the family in lieu of flowers.
