WATERLOO - Ann Louis Bechtelheimer Lichty, 95, of Rochester, Minn., formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, Nov. 21, at Charter House, Rochester.

She was born Dec. 1, 1915, in Orange Township, Black Hawk County, daughter of Clyde and Jennie Berkley Bechtelheimer. She married Robert F. Lichty in 1940. He died in 1994.

Mrs. Lichty graduated from Orange Township Consolidated Schools in 1933 and Iowa State Teachers College (now the University of Northern Iowa). She taught school in Rensen before her marriage. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Austin, Minn., and Rochester.

Survived by a son, R. Alan (Margaret) of Rochester; two daughters, Jane (Richard) Pearson of Durango, Colo., and Betsy Lichty of Lakewood, Colo.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Kay (Dick) Klingaman of Waterloo; and a brother, Thad (Vikki) Bechtelheimenr of Milton, Fla.

Preceded in death by two sisters; and an infant great-granddaughter.

Memorial service: will take place in the spring. Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, Rochester, is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to Mayo Hospice Program, the Congregational Church UCC, Rochester, or PEO International Peace Scholarship Fund.
