WATERLOO - David A. Meyer, 71, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

He was born Aug. 20, 1940, in Chicago, son of Milton M. and Florence Francis Martin Meyer.

He attended Waterloo East High School and was employed in retail sales for many years. Mr. Meyer was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1959-62.

Survived by three brothers, Richard (Judith) of Evansdale and Gerald and Larry (Joyce), all of Waterloo; two sisters, Barbara Kuehl and Sue Sterling of Cedar Falls; and a special friend, Lillie Williams of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents; and his stepfather, Elden Herbsleb.

Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo, with private family inurnment in Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

David was an avid movie buff.
