CEDAR FALLS - Loren W. Clabough, 79, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Cedar Falls Healthcare Center.

He was born Oct. 17, 1932, in Swanton, rural Parkersburg, son of Clyde and Marie Younker Clabough. He married Harriet M. Stanton Dec. 27, 1952, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greene.

Mr. Clabough graduated from New Hartford High School in 1950, and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was employed in Research and Development with John Deere PEC for 38 years. He was Past Commander of American Legion Post 237, a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4516, Voiture Locale 82, and St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survived by his wife; a son, L. Michael of Des Moines; a daughter, Dr. Annette (Dave) Redman of La Porte City; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Francis of Marion; and a daughter-in-law, Shelli of Albert Lea, Minn.

Preceded in death by a son, Gregg W.; two sisters, Virginia Jorgensen and Mary Lou Sells; and a brother in infancy.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery, Parkersburg. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Public visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Service, with a 2 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary and 5 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Newel Post, Cedar Valley Hospice, or St. Patrick School.
