WATERLOO - Maxine M. Keifer, 75, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Nov. 24, at Friendship Village of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 19, 1930, in Raymond, daughter of Albert and Catherine Albus Reuter. She married Ralph L. Keifer on June 19, 1951, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Raymond.

Mrs. Keifer worked as head of housekeeping at Friendship Village, retiring after 26 years of service.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Darrell (Linda) of Garner, Mike (Michelle) of Nashville and James (Jody) of Jesup; a daughter, Gail (Don) Dunnwald of Waverly; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Reuter of Waterloo; and two sisters, Mildred (Vern) Wermerskirchen of Gilbertville and Lucy (Eldon) Geber of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: a daughter, Jo Keuter; four brothers, Vincent, Ralph, Robert and Norman; and four sisters, her twin Arlene Cook, Helen Nelson, Marguerite Reuter and Mary Stultz.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Raymond. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 3 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service.
