LA PORTE CITY - Charlotte Ray Elliott, 96, of La Porte City, died Friday, Nov. 11, at La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born April 12, 1915, in La Porte City, daughter of Thomas W. Sr. and Anna Kaiser Elliott.

She graduated from La Porte City High School in 1933. She worked at Rath Packing Co. for more than 40 years. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Business Professional Women's Club, V.F.W Auxiliary, Rath Retiree's Group, Good Time Gang, charter member of Community Center, former 4H leader, worked with Crosslines for 13 years, and a life-long patron of Hawkins Memorial Library and Monday morning coffee group.

Survived by a brother, Tom W. II of La Porte City; a sister, Marjorie Rausch of La Porte City; and two sisters-in-law, Judy Elliott of Cedar Falls and Grace Elliott of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by four brothers, George, Harold, Donald and Merle "Gene"; and two sisters, Mable Zobel and Elizabeth "Toots" Niemeyer.

Memorial services: 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with inurnment in West View Cemetery, both in La Porte City. Public visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the church, and also for an hour before services Monday at the church. La Porte City Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Hawkins Memorial Library, La Porte City, Cedar Valley Hospice or Cedar Valley Food Bank.
