Glendon “Glen” D. Nargang, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at ManorCare Health Center in Waterloo. Glen was born March 29, 1917 in New Hampton, Iowa, the son of John “Jack” & Gertrude Daly Nargang. He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1935.

He married Ala Denniston May 30, 1941 in Waterloo. She preceded him in death March 20, 1998.

Glen served in the U.S. Navy Air Force during WWII. He worked in the office of the DX Oil Co. in Waterloo for 12 years. Glen was then employed with Central States Theater Corp as manager of Starlite Drive-in Theater in Waterloo for 15 years and then became general manager in the home office in Des Moines for 14 years, retiring in 1984.

Survivors include one son, David Nargang of Waterloo; one daughter-in-law, Martha Nargang of Michigan; and three grandchildren, Michael, Kenzie, and Eric Nargang.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; one son, Wayne Richard Nargang; and one brother, John Garland Nargang.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2007 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with inurnment at a later date in Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas. There will be no visitation.
