Moschke, Melvin G. was born October 13, 1935 in Golden Township, Michigan, the son of Raymond T. and Myrtle M. Wheeler Moschke. He graduated from Hart High School in Hart. Melvin was in the United States Army from February 11, 1954 until February 8, 1957.

August 10, 1957 he married Anna M. Walters at Elbridge Community Church in rural Hart. Melvin was employed in Hydraulics Maintenance at John Deere for 35 years, retiring in 1994. He was self employed as a tax preparer, farmer's market, and at MGM Repair Shop. Melvin enjoyed fishing and the Waterloo Diamonds and Waterloo Bucks baseball. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Melvin passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Allen Memorial Hospital from natural causes at the age of 71.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two children in infancy.

Melvin was survived by his wife, Anna of Waterloo; step-father, William Clark of Hart; two sons, Brian (Cherish) Moschke and Craig Moschke, both of Waterloo; one daughter, Angela (Rod) Warnke of Dubuque; 27 foster children; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond (Shirley) Moschke of Fairborn, Ohio, William (Laura) Clark of North Muskegon, Michigan, and Richard (Crystal) Moschke of Muskegon, Michigan; two sisters, Hallie Bowden of Montgue, Michigan, and Sandy (Al) Anderson of Holland, Michigan; two step-brothers, George Scott and Ed Scott of Michigan; and one step-sister, Ruby (Russell) Wagner of Michigan.

Services December 30 at Grace Baptist Church, followed by miltary rites conducted by Becker Chapman Post 138 American Legion, and Waterloo Post 1623 Veterans of Foreign Wars, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo.
