DUNKERTON - Kenneth F. Risse, 93, of Waterloo, formerly of rural Dunkerton, died Friday, Nov. 4, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

He was born March 10, 1918, in Black Hawk County, son of Frank Risse and Katherine Meier Risse. He married Carrie Virginia Ritchie Sept. 1, 1944, at St John's Catholic Church in Waterloo. She died May 15, 2003.

Mr. Risse was a farmer and member of St. Francis Catholic Church-Barclay in rural Dunkerton.

Survived by a daughter, Bonnie (John) Forbes of Waterloo; four sons, Robert (Kathy) of Waterloo, Steven (Nancy) of Dysart, Mike (Tammie Risse) of Waterloo and Rodney of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Fedelis Reuter of Jesup; and four sisters-in-law, Harriett Risse of Readlyn, Janice Risse of Waverly, Mary Risse of Dunkerton and Avis Muether of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald, Wilbur and Eugene.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church-Barclay, rural Dunkerton, with burial in church cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. today at White Funeral Home, Jesup, with a 3 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
