Born in Waverly, Iowa on Jan. 29, 1917
Departed on Dec. 30, 2002 and resided in Cedar Falls, IA.

Everett C. Ingersoll, 85, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, formerly of Waverly, Iowa, died on December 30, 2002 at his home of natural causes.

Everett was born on January 29, 1917 in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Fred and Lydia Seaman Ingersoll. He was baptized on February 26, 1917 and confirmed on November 24, 1946 at St. Paul' Lutheran Church, Waverly. He attended country school near his home. After school he did some trucking and helped his father on the farm.

Everett was united in marriage to Mabel Poppe on April 20, 1934 at the Baptist parsonage in Plainfield. The couple lived on a farm north of Waverly until 1970, when they moved to their acreage on Garden Avenue, Waverly. In 1994, they moved to their present home north of Cedar Falls. He had worked at John Deere for about four years, farmed for 23 years and also worked at Koehring Cranes (now Terex) in Waverly for over 11 years.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and especially enjoyed farming and fixing equipment.

Everett is survived by his daughter, Doreann Klinge and her husband, Jim of Iron River, Wisconsin; and one son, David Ingersoll and his wife, Virginia of Cedar Falls, Iowa five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, three brothers and their spouses, Wayne and Burnett Ingersoll of Waverly, Iowa; Wilbur and Elizabeth Ingersoll of Plainfield, Wisconsin; and Neil and Darlene Ingersoll of Randalia, Iowa; one sister and her husband, Arlene and Albert Kammeyer of Waverly, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mabel in 1998, and an infant son, Roger.

Funeral services will be on Friday, January 3, 2003 at 1:30 pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly with Pastor Cheryl Doely officiating. Burial will be in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly and for one hour before services at the church on Friday.
