CEDAR FALLS - Stephen P. Moore, 66, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Oct. 16, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

He was born Feb. 20, 1945, in Oregon, Ill., son of Linford and Ruth Hill Moore. He married Kirsten Koch on Sept. 8, 1979, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Moore graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1963 and attended the University of Northern Iowa and Hawkeye Institute of Technology. He served in the U.S. Navy and was with the Cedar Falls Police Department for more than 29 years, retiring as sergeant. He owned and operated Steve's Super Lawn Care and was currently employed at the Target Distribution Center.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Carter (Jody) of Urbana and Levi of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Jasmine, Kael and Elijah Moore, all of Urbana; a brother, Paul of Koszta; and a sister, Cecilia Shepard of Williams.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Patricia Ann Moore.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation from 9 a.m. until services Friday at the church. Military honor guard will be conducted by the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.

Memorials may be directed to Hope Lodge in Iowa City, Friends of the Cedar Falls Public Library and Volunteer Services at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
