CEDAR FALLS - Ryan M. Ott, 32, of Cedar Falls, died at home Tuesday, Oct. 11.

He was born Jan. 17, 1979, in Waterloo, son of Brian A. and Valerie Hickok Ott.

He was a 1997 graduate of Waterloo East High School and also graduated from Hamilton Business College. He was employed for eight years at John Deere & Co., Waterloo.

Survived by his parents of Cedar Falls; a brother, Derek (Jessie Gress) of Cedar Falls; a sister, Taylor Ott of Cedar Falls; his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Hickok of Evansdale; his paternal grandfather, Dale Ott of Waterloo; his girlfriend, Heather Stout of Dunkerton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dale Hickok; and his paternal grandmother, Inez Ott.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Prairie Lakes Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank or American Heart Association.

Ryan really loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed playing racquetball, golf and watching NASCAR. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
