WATERLOO - Lee Bainbridge, 91, of Waterloo, died at home Friday, Oct. 7, of natural causes.

He was born Nov. 24, 1919, in Kingsley, son of Frank and Ethel Van Nordsale Bainbridge. He married Irene D. Renken on Sept. 1, 1949, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Manson. She died Aug. 6, 2010.

Mr. Bainbridge and his wife farmed, owned and operated a theater in Kingsley, and also owned and operated a motel, laundromats and rentals in Waterloo.

Survived by a son, Glen (Paula) of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a brother, Melvin; and two sisters, Pauline Tscherter and Helen Day.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories. Military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman Post 138 American Legion and Waterloo Post 1623 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the church.

Lee was a baseball fanatic and attended all of his friends' funerals. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
