David Gregory Mikkelsen, 30, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Grundy Center, died at home Sunday, Sept. 25.

He was born Dec. 12, 1980, in Marshalltown, son of Morris and Carolyn Smoldt Mikkelsen.

Mr. Mikkelsen graduated from Dike-New Hartford High School and attended Kirkwood Community College and the University of Northern Iowa.

Survived by his parents of Cedar Falls; two sisters, Kristin (Steve) Medlin of Little Rock, Ark., and Kathy (Christopher) Moore of Lakeville, Minn.; a brother, Scott (Amber) or Grimes; and his grandmother, Frances Smoldt.

Private family services: will be held, with private burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Grundy Center. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center.

Memorials may be directed to the family or to the First Baptist Church of Grundy Center Building Fund.
