Irma Ann (Laubenthal) Gindling -- 1939 -- 2009

WATERLOO - Irma Ann Gindling, 69, of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 19, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 11, 1939, in LuVerne, daughter of Andrew and Helen Kollasch Laubenthal. She married Glen F. Gindling at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Algona, on Nov. 11, 1961.

Mrs. Gindling was past president of St. Patrick Catholic Church Rosary Society and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was a homemaker throughout her adult life.

Survived by: her husband; a son, Kraig of Waterloo; a daughter, Karla Gindling of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Katie, Ryan and Samantha; a brother, Merle (Jeanie) Laubenthal of Algona; two sisters, Regina (Herb) Kaiser of Algona and Imelda (Kenneth) Krieger of Mason City; and a sister-in-law, Marguerite Laubenthal of Wesley.

Preceded in death by: her parents; an infant son, David Charles; and a brother, Maurice Laubenthal.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Waterloo, with burial on Friday in Calvary Cemetery, Algona. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Thursday at the church. Additional services will be held Friday in Algona.

Memorials: may be directed to Blessed Sacrament School.
