WATERLOO - Gary Frank Stattelman, 61, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Sept. 28, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, after a long illness.

He was born Feb. 10, 1947, in Waterloo, son of Edwin and Evelyn Stattelman. He married Linda Hart on July 3, 1971.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Richard Barber Jr. (Jennifer) and Robert (Nena) Stattelman, both of Waterloo; five daughters, Angela K. (Jack) Stanton of North Washington, Angela D. (Charles) Loudermilk of Newton and Christina, Tamela and Diana Stattelman; two brothers, Earl (Ella Mae) of Washburn and Lawrence (Rose) of Texas; a sister, Gail (Tom) Boyle of Washburn; and 10 grandchildren, Courtney Spray, Bobbie Jo Spray, Cody Lancaster, Kristen Forbes, Kaylee Stattelman, David Stattelman, Dakota Stattelman, Jack Frisbey Jr., Austin Frisbey and Crystal Hall.

Preceded in death by: his parents.

Memorial gathering: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 1406 Commercial St.
