CEDAR FALLS — Robert Harry “Bobby” Loveland, 48, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Janesville, died at home, Saturday, Sept. 3, of pancreatic cancer.

He was born Dec. 31, 1962, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, son of Vern Byron and Phyllis Ann (Decker) Loveland. He married Karen Marie McDade July 21, 1990, in Yorktown, Va.

Mr. Loveland graduated in 1980 from Waverly-Shell Rock High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1985-1997 and was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War (Desert Storm). In 1999, he became employed with Mediacom until retiring because of ill health in November 2010.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Kristy (Cory) Roberts of Janesville; six sisters, Colleen (David) Jacob of Denver, Mary Loveland of Yuma, Ariz., Donna (Bill) Simonis of Cedar Falls, Jennifer (Bob) Jans of Clarksville, Shelley (Kevin) Casey of Waterloo and Brenda (Steve) Stokes of Janesville; and two brothers, Jim of Mason City and Wayne (Dee) Loveland of Palo.

Preceded in death by his mother.

Memorial services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by cremation and burial of his cremains with military graveside rites following the memorial service Thursday in Finchford Cemetery, rural Janesville.
