WATERLOO - Doris M. Kruger, 87, of Elkhorn, Neb., formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, Aug. 14, at Marquis Place, Elkhorn.

She was born Aug. 28, 1923, in Cedar Township of Benton County, daughter of David and Minnie Pruitt Williams. She married Harold H. Kruger in Vinton. He died Aug. 14, 1994.

Mr. Kruger was active at Grace Reformed Church for more than 50 years, teaching Sunday school and participating in a variety of women's ministries.

Survived by a son, Gregory (Catherine) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Janis (Ken) Smith of Surprise, Ariz., and Pam (Douglas) Jaquier of Omaha, Neb.; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Todd, Matt, Lindsay, Geoffrey, Christopher and Kirsten; a great-grandchild, Seth; and her triplet sister, Dorothy Hoover of Canon City, Colo.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Clyde Williams; five sisters, Helen Hurst, Charlotte Dake, Elsie Merchant and Lola Burrell, and her triplet, Darlene Yerkes.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Reformed Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The casket will be closed. The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the church.

Doris and her husband loved to garden, sharing their bounty with others.
