CEDAR FALLS - Sharon M. Benham, 73, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 6, 1937, in Shenandoah, daughter of Robert W. and Alice M. Carpenter Smalley. She married Robert Benham on July 14, 1956, in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Benham graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1956 and was employed as a CNA with Sartori and Allen Memorial hospitals. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survived by three daughters, Monica Johnson of Waterloo, and Marcia (Joe) Mercurio and Bobbi (John) Porter, both of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Eugene Jr.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service, preceded by an hour of visitation, with inurnment later in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.

Memorial fund to be designated at a later date.
