WATERLOO - Helen Louise Murphy Nardicchio, 89, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Aug. 6, at Lakeview Landing.

She was born May 11, 1922, in Reinbeck, daughter of Cornelius J. and Emma Josephine Kauth Murphy. She married Joseph J. Nardicchio on July 1, 1947, in Sioux City. He died June 3, 1995.

Mrs. Nardicchio graduated from Dike High School in 1940 and was employed as a shop clerk with John Deere.

Survived by two brothers, Charles F. (Pat) Murphy of Dike and Joseph C. (Adelaide) Murphy of Cedar Falls; and a stepdaughter, Nancy (Don) Saul of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth A. Walbaum, Jane M. Johnson and Charlyne H. Pauley.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with a 6 p.m. rosary. Visitation also an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
