WATERLOO - Arlyne M. Miller Bonefas, 89, of The Rose, died Wednesday, July 27, at Allen Hospital.

She was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Waterloo, daughter of John P. "Jack" and Louise Benzow Gales. She married Earl Miller in 1941 in Waterloo, and they divorced in 1958. She married Phillip Bonefas on July 8, 1972, in Washburn. He died Feb. 10, 1991.

Mrs. Bonefas graduated from Waterloo East High School and was a volunteer at St. John Catholic Church and School.

Survived by two daughters, Cherie Miller and Victoria (Todd) McDermott, both of Waterloo; a son, Richard (Sue) Miller of Waterloo; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Ronald Miller; a grandson, Samuel Meyer; the father of her children, Earl Miller; two sisters, Moneen Gales and Gwenevere Baych; a brother, Merle Gales; a niece, Janet Gales; and her best friend, Kay Kezar.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 5:30 p.m. vigil. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
