WATERLOO - Marie Pullin Purdy, 57, of Algoma, Wis., formerly of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, July 26, of brain cancer.

She was born Oct. 2, 1953, in Ames, daughter of Alfred and Zora Patten Pullin.

Ms. Purdy graduated from Orange High School, Waterloo, in 1971. She operated farms with her husband in Seymour and Algoma and worked for Clarke Gas Stations for more than 25 years. She also was active in 4-H in Wisconsin for many years.

Survived by three daughters, Amanda (Mark) May of Algoma, Melissa (Jon) Massart of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and Alison (Heath) Ruetten of Green Bay, Wis.; two sons, Danny and Merville, both of Algoma; six grandchildren, Damien, Dustin and Cody May and Stephany, Alexis and Samantha Massart; her mother and stepfather, Zora and Ron Milne of Waterloo; two brothers, Larry Pullin of Morrison and Marty (Nicole) Pullin of Brooklyn, Wis.; three sisters, Gail (Brian) Bellis of Gilbertville, Kathy Pullin of Waterloo and Barb Pullin of Denver, Colo.; nieces and nephew, Krystal (Curt) Meggers of Traer, and Katie and Joe Bellis, both of Waterloo; and a great-nephew, Alex Meggers of Traer.

Preceded in death by her father; and a sister-in-law, Patti Pullin.

Memorial Services: were held in Wisconsin, with inurnment in Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma. Visitation from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Locke Funeral Home.
