WATERLOO - Carroll F. Wheaton Sr., 74, of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, July 19, of natural causes.

He was born June 19, 1937, in Fairfield, son of William and Icle Franklin Wheaton. He married Mary E. Dietrich, and they later divorced.

Mr. Wheaton was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for several companies in Texas. He also worked for Waterloo Lumber Co.

Survived by two sons, Carroll Jr. of Johnston and Steve of Waterloo; two daughters, Susan (Mike Walker) Wheaton and Phyllis Wheaton, both of Waterloo; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Harold of Clive and Clifford of Washington.

Preceded in death by a sister, Viola Bennett.

Family Services will be held at a later date. Locke Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. There will be no visitation.
