WATERLOO - Dale Louis Jensen, 65, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 12, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, due to complications of a liver transplant.

He was born Aug. 7, 1945, in Osage, son of Delmar and Mabel Timmerman Jensen. He married Linda Phillips on June 26, 1965, in Gilbertville. She died April 27, 2009.

Mr. Jensen graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1964. He was a mechanic at John Deere Tractor Manufacturing Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1998.

Survived by four daughters, Nancy Jensen, Wendy Jensen, Robin Russell and Jodi (Donald) Finley, all of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Ryan, Nicole and Jenna Russell and Rylee, Gavin and Austin Finley; a brother, Earl of Waterloo; six stepsisters, JoAnn White and Janice Cronan, both of Evansdale, Mary Inman of Missouri and Barbara Ohlendorf, Debra Coffer and Patty Geary, all of Waterloo; and four stepbrothers, Gerald Brandt of New Hartford, Samuel and Gaylord, both of Waterloo, and David Brandt of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a brother, Wayne; and three stepsisters, Marilyn Belthius, Lois Ferrie and Diane Aschenbrenner.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family.
