ESTIMABLE WOMAN
DIES AT AGE OF 78

Old age and complications caused the death of Mrs. Bridgett Callahan at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peter Grady, 218 East Eighth street, this morning about 6:3 0 o'clock. Deceased had been ill for over nine weeks and death was not unexpected.

Mrs. Callahan was 78 years of age and a native of Ireland. She came to America in 1850, locating in Cedar Falls. She had spent practically ail of her life In that city, until about six years ago, when following the death of her husband she removed to Waterloo and had since made her home here with her daughter.

She was married to Michael Callahan in the spring of 1859.

Seven children were born to the union, nearly all of whom reside near the city of Cedar Falls.

The funeral services will be held Monday morning from St. Joseph's Church with Father Slattery in charge. Burial will be in Calvary.
