Funeral services held Tuesday
for Robert W. Sewick, 33

Funeral services for Robert "Bob" Sewick, 33, of 1622 Franklin Street, Cedar Falls, formerly of Hudson, were held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Community Church of Hudson. pastor Joe Sellepack officiated. Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery with Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, in charge of arrangements.

Bob died Friday, March 10, 2000, in an auto accident in Tama County.

He was born August 2, 1966.

Bob grew up in Hudson. He enjoyed sports during his school days, football, baseball and wrestling. He graduated from Hudson High School in 1984. After high school Bob joined the U. S. Army. On October 17, 1985, he was an honor graduate of Army Ranger Training. He served in the 2/75th Ranger Battalion, Company C, at Ft. Lewis, Washington. Much of what he did as a Ranger can be known only to those he served with.

After leaving active duty in 1988, Bob served with the Iowa National Guard. He attained the rank of Sergeant and served as Jump Master with the 194th Infantry Detachment. During this time he was attending the University of Northern Iowa where he was a member of the Panther football team. He was to have graduated in May with a Bachelors Degree. Bob was currently working for the Northeast Iowa Juvenile Detention Center.

He is survived by his parents, John and Karen Sewick of Hudson, and Brad and Janene Church of Fort Dodge; three sisters, Ann Frost of Berkeley, California, Tammy Sewick of Chandler, Arizona, and Carrie Sewick of Connecticut; a brother, Mitchell of Hudson; his maternal grandparents, Curt and Virginia Peters of Alexander, Iowa; maternal grandmother, Lorraine England of Waterloo; and paternal grandmother, Mildred Sewick of Reinbeck.

Bob was receded in death by his grandfathers, Wayne Sewick and Charles England. Memorials may be directed to the family.
