CHARLES YOCKSTICK

Charles Yockstick, 80, of 520 Bayard street, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at University Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa, of complications incedent to advanced age. He had been confined to University hospitals for 10 days.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Kearns Garden chapel. The Rev Spencer Gentle, pastor of the First Brethren church, will officiate. Burial will be in Hudson, Iowa.

Mr. YOCKSTICK was born Aug. 7, 1870, in Hudson, Iowa, the son of Adam and Hanna YOCKSTICK. He married Lucinda STRAYER Feb. 22, 1892, at Hudson. She died in 1909. In 1925 he married Mrs. Irvilla MORRISON at Shell Rock, Iowa. She preceded him in death in 1942.

For many years Mr. YOCKSTICK was engaged as a hardware and implement dealer in Hudson. Prior to his retirement from buisness, he was employed as a salesman with the Litchfield Manufacturing Co. of Waterloo.

He was a member of the Brethren church at Hudson.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clarence STEPHENS, 13 Hanna Boulevard, Castle Hill; a step-daughter, Mrs. Howard Kirkpatrick, Ft. Sheridan, Ill.; two step-sons, Keith and Val Morrison, Vancouver, Canada; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline SEUFFERLEIN of Sanborn, Iowa, and Mrs. Al SEUFFERLEIN of Vinton, Iowa; one brother, Ed YOCKSTICK of Waverly, Iowa, and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
