Thelma R. Hayden of Waterloo, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday morning, July 5, 2011, at NewAldaya Lifescapes Care Center, Cedar Falls. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will take place after 2 p.m. at the Chapel on Thursday. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean (Richard) Heaverlo of Cedar Rapids and Julia (Hank) Dark of Cedar Falls; two sons, Jerry of Waterloo and James (Mary Jane) of Logansport, Ind.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations in Thelma's honor may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
