CEDAR FALLS - Roland E. "Bud" Baldwin, 87, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, July 4, at the Martin Health Care Center at the Western Home.

He was born Nov. 6, 1923, in Curlew, Palo Alto County, son of Lennel W. and Agnes M. Prochaska Baldwin. He married Betty Lou Bell on March 21, 1948, in Waterloo.

Mr. Baldwin graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1942, then served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as an electrician for See Electric, Waterloo, for 35 years, retiring in 1981.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Dennis (Wendy) of Waterloo, Mark of Pequot Lakes, Minn., and Dean (Linda) of Marshalltown; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Barlow of Des Moines.

Preceded in death by a brother, Marvin; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138, V.F.W. Post 1623 and the Iowa Army National Guard Honors Detail. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
